Questions we hear in Parkland
How much power does a home EV charger need?
Most Level 2 chargers run on a dedicated 240 volt circuit, commonly 40 to 60 amps depending on the charger. Whether your panel can take that depends on what else is running in the house. We check your existing load first, then recommend the right circuit size and location so the charger works well without overloading the service.
Can I install two EV chargers in my garage?
Often yes. Some homes have enough capacity for two dedicated circuits, and others are better served by chargers that share power between them. If your panel is already busy, a panel upgrade or subpanel may be needed. We look at your setup and lay out the options so you can decide what makes sense.
Do I need HOA approval for outdoor lighting in Parkland?
It depends on your community. Many Parkland HOAs have rules about exterior fixtures, color temperature and what can be seen from the street. We suggest checking with your association before the job. Once you know what is allowed, we install lighting that meets those rules and is wired safely for outdoor conditions.
Is a whole-house surge protector worth it for a newer home?
Newer homes usually have more electronics, not fewer, so they can have more to lose. Pool pumps, AC systems and appliances now run on circuit boards that surges can damage. A whole-house protector at the panel handles surges coming in from the utility side. It does not replace plug-in protectors, but it covers equipment those cannot.
Do you handle permits for work in Parkland?
Yes. Panel upgrades, EV charger circuits, new outdoor circuits and similar work usually need a permit. We pull the permit, do the work to code, and schedule the inspection. You do not have to deal with the paperwork, and you end up with a record that the work was done properly.
