Questions we hear in Lauderhill
Is the electrical problem in my condo my responsibility or the association's?
Usually, wiring from your unit's panel to your outlets and fixtures is yours, and the building's main feeders and common areas belong to the association. Your condo documents have the final say. We test the problem and tell you where it starts, so you know who should handle the repair.
Can you install a ceiling fan in my condo?
Yes. Most older units have a light fixture box that is not rated for a fan, so we replace it with a fan rated box and mount it securely. In concrete ceilings this takes a bit more work, but it is very doable. We also add a wall control or remote if you want one.
My insurance company wants my panel replaced. Can you help?
Yes. Some older panel brands found in 1970s buildings are flagged by insurers. We replace the panel with a modern one, pull the permit and get the inspection, then provide the paperwork you need for your insurance company. For condos, we coordinate the shutoff with your association.
What does my condo association need from an electrician?
Most associations ask for proof of license and insurance, and some want a description of the work and the dates. Some also have rules about work hours and power shutoffs. We provide what they need and follow their rules, so your project gets approved without extra back and forth.
Can I add a dedicated circuit for a new appliance in my unit?
Usually, if your unit's panel has space and capacity. New ranges, washers, dryers and some microwaves need their own circuit. We check the panel, run the new circuit and pull the permit when required. If the panel is full, we explain your options, including a panel replacement.
